Cliff Richard is the 'nice guy' of pop music and has been cranking out the hits since the late 1950s. Among Richard's song titles that can be rattled off by just about anyone are Living Doll, Summer Holiday, The Young Ones, Wired for Sound (remember the rollerskate video?) and We Don't Talk Anymore … Richard has had a knack for a hit across five decades (he released his 50th Anniversary Album back in 2008).
Accompanying Richard are The Shadows, Richard's original backing band from the late '50s and early '60s. Richard and The Shadows parted ways in '62, with The Shadows going on to establish themselves as a formidable group in their own right. A largely instrumental rhythm-rock four-piece, among their biggest hits is Apache. Revered by anyone with an ear for a classy tune, it's high on the list of greatest guitar tracks of all time.
